Oralade Advanced RF+ – ready-to-use oral rehydration support for dogs and cats

Oralade Advanced RF+ is a great-tasting, ready-to-serve oral rehydration solution (ORS) with a natural chicken flavor. The isotonic formula contains water, electrolytes and simple sugars for effective hydration, as well as taurine, arginine, lysine, L-carnitine and L-glutamic acid. The product is very low in phosphorus and is specifically formulated to support fluid intake and kidney and urinary tract function.

Guide to oral rehydration and feeding per 24 hours
• Cats, kittens and puppies under 4 kg: 50 ml/kg, total under 200 ml
• Large cats and small dogs 4–10 kg: 44 ml/kg, total 200–450 ml
• Medium dogs 10–25 kg: 33 ml/kg, total 450–825 ml
• Large dogs 25–45 kg: 30 ml/kg, total 825–1,350 ml
• XL dogs 45–60 kg: 26 ml/kg, total 1,350–1,560 ml

Fluid requirements may vary depending on factors such as the animal's age, breed and activity level. The amounts given are guidelines for maintenance; additional hydration may be required in the event of fluid loss. Water should always be available. For tube feeding/microenteral nutrition, the packaging indicates a starting amount of 0.25–0.5 ml/kg per hour for the first four hours and then a gradual increase of 50% every four hours.

Composition: Purified water, chicken liver hydrolysate (2%), dextrose monohydrate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, monosodium phosphate, vegetable oils and fats.

Additives per kg: Nutritional additives: lysine 1,500 mg, arginine 1,500 mg, taurine 800 mg and L-carnitine 100 mg. Technological additive: xanthan gum 2,000 mg. Sensory additives: glycine 4,500 mg, monosodium glutamate 1,250 mg and L-glutamic acid 1,250 mg.

Analytical constituents: Moisture 98%, crude protein 1%, crude fat 0.4%, inorganic matter 0.3%, chloride 0.16%, crude fibre 0.1%, sodium 0.1%, potassium 0.04%, calcium 0.005% and phosphorus 0.003%. Energy: 12 kcal/100 ml.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. After opening: refrigerate and use within 4 days, or freeze and use within 12 months. Discard unused portion after 12 hours.
