HundaLunda Loose Roll – training tool for search and rescue. 🇸🇪

HundaLunda search reel, also called loose reel , is of the highest quality and is made by hand and with great care in the workshop at Lunda Gård. The reel is covered with a thick fabric of beaver nylon to give the dog a good grip on the reel and to avoid chewing. Durable hard plastic at the ends gives the search reel extra durability. We use reflective paracord ropes that make the reel visible with a headlamp in the dark. At one end there is a practical loop for quick and easy hanging. Can be washed in the washing machine at 40° in a laundry bag.

The colors of the paracord rope may vary.

What is a search roller used for?

A search reel is a training tool that you use in search and rescue to train technique and improve marking in roller dogs. Sometimes the search reel can be called a loose reel because it is not attached to the dog but is retrieved by the dog from the helper. The corresponding reel that is attached to the dog's collar is a fixed reel/bringer.

Some branches where loose roll can be used:

• Forest Search – Search is a special element in SBK's practical exam.
• Rescue dog – Search and rescue within SBK Service Dog and MSB's NUSAR.
• SAR Sweden – Search and Rescue Competition, previously called IPO-R.
